Lahav Farm, named in memory of Liran Almosnino z”l, serves as a therapeutic agricultural facility dedicated to the prevention and treatment of PTSD among individuals who have served in the IDF and security forces.

The farm offers a variety of programs, including short-term processing workshops, team-building experience workshops, and extended therapeutic and rehabilitation processes aimed at assisting those who have encountered traumatic events and are coping with the enduring impacts of these experiences on their lives.

Sargent General (reserves) Liran Almosnino, a resident of Kmehin and a member of the Lotar Unit, tragically fell on the 22nd of Tishrei, October 7th, 2023.

Liran was engaged in agriculture and tourism and lived in Kmehin, one of five communities located in the Nitzana region near the Egyptian border. He was married to Efrat, and together they raised five children. His calm demeanor radiated an inner strength that left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.

Liran was the child who eagerly attended all cub scout meetings, mastering various knots and skills, familiarizing himself with the names of trees and rocks, and learning about traditional ways of life. He was truly a child of nature, who matured into a charming individual deeply connected to the outdoors. Always ready to assist, he was the first to offer help, organize, or save, often without being asked, and he was perpetually prepared.

On the morning of Simchat Torah, as terrorists invaded the Western Negev, Liran felt an urgent call to aid the communities, and he did not return.

In May 2023, Liran initiated a therapeutic agriculture farm in the Northern Negev as part of the Rimon Farms association. He envisioned creating a Zionist hub in the Negev, cherishing the open fields while also aspiring to support individuals coping with PTSD.

Liran will be remembered as an honest, hardworking, and compassionate individual who embraced life's complexities and remained steadfast in his values.

We honor Liran's legacy through the Lahav Farm, which bears his name.

May his memory be of blessing.

Our Services

The farm features two therapeutic pathways: workshops dedicated to the processing of combat experiences and a daily center that promotes teamwork and agricultural engagement. These programs are designed to enhance resilience and support individuals in managing their previous combat experiences.
